Ikuyo

I absolutely love strawberry horchata and thought why not make it with matcha!. It was as amazing as I thought it would be. I used @IppodoTea.com (USA & CA)’s Ikuyo. It’s one of my favorites to use when I use other flavors with my matcha.. I love that the matcha flavor still shines through.

Trying for the first time Ippodo Ikuyo. Right off the bat, I am not a fan of its packaging, but its flavor kind of makes up for it. It was creamy, more bitter than sweet, with little to medium astringency. In a latte, the bitterness was mellowed down in a way that I like. It’s afforable but still a high quality matcha. However, the packaging is a deal breaker for me.
