First time trying out Marukyu Koyamaen Chigi no Shiro! I tried it first as an usucha. I found it to have light umami notes with some floral and mild nutty notes. It is also smooth and a little bit creamy. I can taste some floral aftertaste and a little astringency. I then tried it next as a latte. I found the floral and umami notes holding up with the milk which makes it a light and refreshing drink. I think the overall profile of this blend is a bit mild for me. I would rank this higher than aoarashi but lower than kinrin.

@matchabzzzBut for a latte, I prefer Chigi no Shiro as its vegetal umami notes shine through very well.
