Isuzu

Today, I'll be reviewing another very popular matcha. This is Marukyu-Koyamaen's Isuzu.. Upon opening, the powder revealed a beautiful vibrant green hue with an aroma that was sweet, nutty, and delicately floral.. When paired with my usual oat milk, Isuzu had a light to medium body.. The flavor had a mellow umami, a smooth and creamy texture, and subtle floral notes accompanied by a hint of pleasant bitterness.. This is the second matcha I've tried from Marukyu-Koyamaen and I was once again impressed by its quality.. Despite being the second most affordable option from their lineup, Isuzu holds its own against higher priced matcha.. I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

It is just really mild. It's really creamy and has maybe slight nutty notes. It just lacks depth, so it's not astringent or bitter, really.

I’m happy to say I’ve found my clear favorites and imo the ones worth repurchasing. My third favorite is Isuzu.
