Trying out an underrated matcha brand that has been circulating for a while now on TikTok, Aoi Seicha with one of its popular blend Yaeyama. As an usucha, it had an interestingly well-balanced profile, naturally sweet yet still being umami forward. Undeniably creamy as well, reminding me of Kyo Hayashiya’s Oimatsu, almost ice-cream like if you whisk well enough. It doesn’t linger too much on the tongue which is a plus, although it is slightly astringent. As a latte, I love how the oat milk intensified the natural creaminess of Yaeyama. In a way it felt like I cold whisk it without asking doing the cold whisk method. My fave ratio also did not fail in bringing out the umami profile of the matcha, I can still taste it with every sip. To be honest, I already finished this matcha by the time I’m editing this video. It was so good I had it almost everyday until I realized I was at the end of the can. Rating: 8.75/10.
