Tsukikage

We're trying Ippudo's fall matcha, called Sukikage. Wow, this color is so pretty. Given the price point of this, I already knew what to expect. I wasn't expecting crazy umami, crazy depth, or anything super heavy and rich. This is really nice. It still has a really nice depth to it. It's really smooth. I would say light to medium body, light to medium umami, right in the middle of light and medium. I'm getting really nice grassy notes. It isn't super seaweedy or oceanic, but I don't like Ikuyo. This is better than that. I would take it just a small step down from Sayaka in creaminess, richness, and umami. I would honestly get this again at the price point it was in yen, though. I really like that.
