Love this seasonal matcha! Decadent matcha, perfect for special occasions. As an usucha, it has initial medium to rich umami notes that is reminiscent of Eiju. Subtle vegetal notes fade quickly and were followed by a sweetness that lingers in the aftertaste. I also found it to be very creamy and smooth, coupled with the sweet and umami notes it creates a unique finish. Note that there’s no astringency. As a latte, I found that the natural sweetness of the matcha was enhanced by the milk. It needs little to no sweetener and I much preferred it with milk due to this feature. The profile of this blend is truly suitable to be served during special occasions.
