Uji Mukashi

Today I'm reviewing Horishi Chimai's Uji Mukashi.. This matcha was so hard to get my hands on and I'm so excited to finally try it today.. When I opened the tin, the powder had a chocolatey richness with deep umami and a gentle floral note.. The color is a deep, vibrant green with absolutely no yellow tones, a strong indicator of its quality.. Made into a latte with my usual oat milk, the flavor was very creamy, sweet, nutty, with some umami notes.. There was some slight astringency and bitterness, but it was very well balanced.. This matcha is medium bodied and tasted just like ice cream to me.. This one was an easy 4.5 out of 5 and instantly became a new favorite.

It is the creamiest and sweetest matcha I've ever tried. It has light umami. It is extremely good for every day.
