holds a special place in my heart. quickly became one of my favorites. This is one of my everyday matcha. I've repurchased it so many times that I even have a subscription on Amazon. The powder itself is a deep vivid green. aroma that's rich in umami, sweet, and nutty. On the palette, it's medium to light bodied with a creamy texture. pronounced umami, and a delicate nutty sweetness. very slight bitterness. I rate this one a 4 out of 5. it will definitely remain one of my go-to everyday matcha

Not as radioactive green as I would like, I must admit. It's slightly leans a little bit brown, it's not super bright, but it's definitely deep. Upon whisking, it doesn't really look that creamy. I'm not picking up any crazy notes besides a slight vegetal note, and it smells a little bitter. It's not bad, it's not as bitter or astringent as I was expecting it to be. There's no like super pronounced astringent or bitter notes. There's zero umami, it's not particularly creamy. But in a general sense, this lacks depth, so it's very light bodied, and there's not any significant mouthfeel to it. It has like a nice nutty aftertaste actually. I personally wouldn't repurchase it, but compared to all the other Amazon matcha that I've tried, this is one of the better ones.
The powder has a mild smell, featuring grassy and umami notes. It also has a nice green color! It is earthy, vegetal, and umami, quite pleasant and refreshing. In an usucha, there is notable astringency and bitterness. In a latte, I find this matcha to be mild. The flavor disappears in oat milk so I like it best in more concentrated ratios. It is creamy with minimal astringency and bitterness. Uji no Shiro pairs nicely with some sweetener for a light, mild, every day matcha as an usucha or in a latte. I recommend Uji no Shiro to beginners or those who prefer mild matcha powders. I find this to be a very reasonable price for the quality of matcha powder.
