This one's called the Matcharl, Matcha RL, the gold version. Wow. That color actually looks pretty good. This one is a little bit more dull and like brown colored, but this still looks like way better than half of the brands that are on Amazon right now. The smell is kind of floral and astringent. This one makes pretty good microfoam. It's very like floral. It has some umami, like light umami, and it has some kind of like nice roasted notes. It's very slightly astringent and at the end, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The taste leaves my mouth a little bit quickly. Does this taste like Ippodo Sayaka? No, but is this good? Yes. I'm actually pretty impressed. Matching this to Ippodo Sayaka, I wouldn't say that's the same. That one has a better mouthfeel, a little bit more of a richer taste. At this price point, I feel like you can get a better flavor profile from like Yama Masa Koyama, Horishiki Minen, Ippodo, for example. This is probably thus far the best matcha I've ever tried that's available on Amazon.
