Quite dull and yellow green color, but don’t let the color fool you, this is an impressive matcha powder! The aroma and flavor are sweet, fruity, and astringent. A very mellow and delicate powder! I find this to be a very reasonable price for the quality of matcha powder. As an usucha it is astringent and bitter with floral notes. Refreshing and pleasant! Both are impressive, featuring delicate, mellow flavors, smooth and well-balanced with floral, sweet notes. There’s minimal bitterness, lingering astringency and sweetness. The flavors of the matcha tend to fade in lattes, so I recommend more concentrated ratios or enjoying them as usuchas! I recommend both Kouun no Shiro and Shinokaze no Shiro to beginners or anyone seeking everyday “bang-for-your-buck” matcha powders!
